Analysis / Bias
In review, La Dépêche du Midi editorially, holds left-centrists views. For example, regarding immigration, they publish articles with neutral wording such as “The costs and benefits of Immigration.” Furthermore, the article presents the opinion of both viewpoints leaning towards the left. They also report on climate change as a significant issue in France and Europe “Global warming: the five sectors affected by the rise in temperatures” and “Europe unveils a map of the consequences of global warming on French territory.” Articles source either through quotes to credible sources such as OECD reports or hyperlinking to credible sources such as the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), opcc-ctp.org, and national newspapers like Le Monde (left center newspaper) and less credible celebrity gossip tabloid Le Parisien. La Dépêche du Midi also re-publish articles from newswire service AFP.
In general, La Dépêche du Midi reports news factually and uses a wide variety of left-leaning and right-leaning sources, however editorially, they promote liberal positions on most issues.
