Media Bias Fact Check (MBFC) publishes daily vetted fact checks from verified IFCN-approved sources. Each claim is independently reviewed for accuracy and context.
Claimant: Social Media
Claim: Two videos showing different planes prove that the attempted hijacking of the FlyDubai flight was a staged false flag.
Rating: BLATANT LIE
Explanation: The videos do not show the same aircraft, so differences in the ceiling and seating do not demonstrate that the incident was staged. Lead Stories found that the comparison falsely treated footage of different planes as evidence of a false flag.
