Fact Check: Did Mike Rogers receive millions from donors named in the Epstein files?

Media Bias Fact Check (MBFC) publishes daily vetted fact checks from verified IFCN-approved sources. Each claim is independently reviewed for accuracy and context.

Claimant: Social Media

Claim: Mike Rogers, the 2026 Republican candidate for U.S. Senate in Michigan, received nearly $4.7 million from donors who appeared in the Epstein files.

Rating: MOSTLY TRUE

Explanation: Rogers and outside political committees supporting him received millions of dollars from donors whose names appeared in records associated with Jeffrey Epstein. However, most of the money went to independent PACs rather than directly to Rogers’ campaign, and much of it was donated during his 2024 Senate race. Being named in Epstein-related records is not evidence of wrongdoing.
