Rudy Giuliani, who was recently hired by Trump to represent him in the Russia investigation, said on Fox News on Wednesday night that the president personally repaid his lawyer Michael Cohen over a period of several months for a $130,000 payment the lawyer had made to porn star Stormy Daniels shortly before the 2016 election.
The payment to Daniels, which Trump said last month he was unaware of at the time, came less than two weeks before the election and has been described by Daniels, who alleges she had a one-night sexual encounter with Trump in 2006, as “hush” money. Trump aides have denied any affair.
