Factual Reporting: MIXED
Notes: Wellness Achiever (WA) is a health related site run by Dr. Brent Hunter, a Chiropractic Physician. It is also not a news source in the traditional sense. The stories on WA focus on alternatives to traditional doctor’s visits and medication. They consist mainly of common sense advice regarding diet, exercise, and healthy eating, with an emphasis on chiropractic treatment for many physical aliments. The stories are more opinion presented as fact and have a distinct lack of links to credible scientific research and opposing views for some of the treatments recommended. In fairness, even Dr. Hunter himself concede, on his About Page that:
“The content of this blog is not intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.”
Due to the lack of links, however, and the bias towards chiropractic treatments instead of traditional treatments, WA is rated Questionable due to promoting Pseudoscience. (D. Kelley 4/7/2017)
