Washington Journal (Not C-Span) – Bias and Credibility

Washington Journal (Not C-Span) - Left BiasFactual Reporting: High - Credible - Reliable

LEFT BIAS

These media sources are moderately to strongly biased toward liberal causes through story selection and/or political affiliation.  They may utilize strong loaded words (wording that attempts to influence an audience by using appeal to emotion or stereotypes), publish misleading reports and omit reporting of information that may damage liberal causes. Some sources in this category may be untrustworthy. See all Left Bias sources.

Factual Reporting: HIGH

The Washington Journal is a news and commentary website that according to their about page is dedicated to “the most accurate, concise, and breaking political news of the day.” Washington Journal has a strong left bias in reporting and story selection with virtually every story being pro-left. While the Washington Journal does usually provide credible sources to back their articles, the bias through wording presented within them can be misleading. For example, in the following headline the word “Killed” is negative toward Trump and the word “Very Successful” is positive to Obama: “Trump Just Killed Another Very Successful Obama Program”, therefore we rate the Washington Journal as left bias-based through wording and story selection and high for factual reporting due to proper sourcing. Update: The Washingtonjournal.com domain name now points to the least biased Washington Journal by C-Span. (7/11/2018)
