Analysis / Bias

In review, The Moderated Media breaks down news into the columns Left and Right. Each column presents news stories that opens to the source from which they came. Some sources found in the left column are the New York Times, Washington Post, The New Yorker and CNN. In the right column you will find The Washington Examiner, National Review, Fox News and Town Hall. While the Moderated Media is clearly trying to cover both sides, some of the sources used have Mixed Factual ratings such as CNN and Newsmax, as well some that are on our Questionable list such as Breitbart and the American Thinker. The Moderated Media also has a category for fact checking that does not exclusively use IFCN fact checkers. For example, they utilize The Federalist and ABC News, which is not affiliated with the IFCN.

Although The Moderated Media presents biased left and right news, we rate them Least Biased for presenting balanced news aggregation. We also rate them Mixed for factual reporting due to some of the questionable sources used on both the left and right. (D. Van Zandt 1/8/2019) Updated (8/31/2019)
