History
The Burning Spear Newspaper, known as the “Voice of the International African Revolution,” is a print and online newspaper published by the African People’s Socialist Party and affiliated with the African Liberation Movement. The paper is the oldest Black Power newspaper and has been published without interruption since the 1960s.

Analysis / Bias
There is minimal to moderate use of loaded words in headlines and articles that favor the left in review. The Burning Spear sources articles appropriately and is generally factual; however, there is strong left bias in story selection that favors socialist policy such as this Olympics place the contradictions of colonial capitalism on the world stage. Editorially most stories favor the socialist left.
