Factual Reporting: HIGH

The Progressive Army, according to their about page, is a publication which “provides an uncensored and unfiltered platform to progressive citizen journalists and elevates the voices of the poor, people of color, and marginalized communities”. The Progressive Army was founded in 2015 and its Editor in Chief is Benjamin Dixon.

In review, The Progressive Army, through story selection favors the left and is anti-right. There is a moderate use of loaded emotional language in their headlines and articles such as “Editorial: Keep Calm and Blame Russia: A Terrible Strategy.” The Progressive Army always sources their information to credible sources such as congress.gov, The Guardian, and the Washington Post to name a few. We could not find instances where they have failed fact-checking. Overall, we rate The Progressive Army Left Biased based on story selection and editorial positions and High for factual reporting.
