History

The National Center for Public Policy Research (NCPPR), founded in 1982, is a self-described conservative think tank in the United States. Its founding CEO is Amy Ridenour, who serves as chairwoman. NCPPR’s work is in the areas of free markets, environmental and regulatory policy, retirement security, constitutional law, the First and Second Amendments, religious liberty, academic freedom, defense, and foreign affairs.

According to their about page, “The National Center for Public Policy Research is a communications and research foundation supportive of a strong national defense and dedicated to providing free-market solutions to today’s public policy problems. We believe that the principles of a free market, individual liberty, and personal responsibility provide the greatest hope for meeting the challenges facing America in the 21st century.”

Analysis / Bias

NCPPR is an organization that promotes free-market libertarian philosophies, which also align with the conservative right on many issues, such as this A RED-STATE AGREEMENT CAN BREAK THE NCAA’S WOKE MONOPOLY. This story is sourced from poor sources such as The Federalist, Washington Times, and Revolver News.



When it comes to science, they deny a scientific consensus exists on the role of humans in global warming and question the credibility of scientists that have publicly defended the science on global warming. Further, during the Covid-19 pandemic, they have promoted false and misleading information such as this STUDY: CDC MANIPULATED COVID-19 DEATHS, VIOLATED FEDERAL LAWS. In general, all content aligns with the right and is not always factual.
