Founded in 1848, the Democratic National Committee is a corporation acting as the governing body for the United States Democratic Party. The committee coordinates strategy to support Democratic Party candidates throughout the country for local, state, and national offices. The current Chairman is former United States Secretary of Labor, Tom Perez.

In review, the primary function of the DNC is to advocate, fund, and promote Democratic candidates for all levels of office. The bias of the DNC is very clear, they favor the Democratic party and their platform.
