History
Founded in 1946, the Anchorage Daily News is the largest newspaper in Alaska, serving the greater Anchorage and surrounding area. The newspaper has won the Pulitzer Prize twice in the “Public Service” category, in 1976 and 1989. In 2014, the paper became known as The Alaska Dispatch, and in 2018 it rebranded back to the Anchorage Daily News. The current editor is David Hulen.

Editorially, the Anchorage Daily News never endorsed Presidential Candidates; however, we indicated they had in error in our previous review. Editor David Hulen contacted MBFC via email, informed us of this error, and added that they recently endorsed Republican candidates in local elections. A thorough review of op-eds reveals slightly more favor the left. Generally, the news is reported factually, and this update moves ADN to least biased based on balanced editorial positions that reasonably present both perspectives.
