The Daily Journal is a print newspaper serving St. Francois County, Ste. Genevieve County, Reynolds County, Jefferson County, Iron County, and Washington County in Missouri.

Funded by / Ownership

The paper is owned by Lee Enterprises, which according to Open Secrets has donated 88% of it money to Republican politicians since 1990. The paper is funded through an online advertising and subscription model.

Analysis / Bias

In review, the Daily Journal covers local news with journalists and reporters throughout the Missouri region. For national news they use the Associated Press. All news is reported with minimal loaded words and bias. The Daily Journal always sources their information properly. Editorially, there is a balance between right and left leaning opinions with just a slight edge to the left.
