The latest job report marks the 93rd straight month that the U.S. economy gained jobs, the longest recorded streak. The numbers were larger than the expected 195,000 jobs added.
The unemployment rate rose slightly to 4 percent, above the expected 3.8 percent, mainly due to 600,000 Americans entering the workforce.
