Bias: Extreme Right, Propaganda, Conspiracy
Notes: Hard News is a conservative website that focuses on politics and commentaries on mainstream media. According to their about page: “We watch CNN so you don’t have to.” And their social media description “We debunk the pseudo-liberal establishment media bullshit narratives.” There is no information about who runs the site.
Essentially, Hard News makes videos about news stories while providing biased commentary such as this: “MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow Lies About Wikileaks & Donald Trump Jr.”
In review, Hard News publishes sensational stories such as “Mother Turns Placenta Into Smoothie, Serves To Family” or “Women’s March Social Media Director Reportedly Quits Over Ties to Anti-Semite Farrakhan” in which they are critical of Democrats: “Democratic Party prefer to have it both ways and condemn “anti-Semitism” on the right that they misleadingly attribute to President Donald Trump while at the same time either refusing to condemn Louis Farrakhan, or denying proven ties to him.”
Hard News often utilizes factually mixed sources such as Daily mail , RT, and The Daily Wire as well as credible sources such as the Chicago Tribune and Independent Journal Review. Story selection always favors the right and is Pro-Donald Trump.
Overall, we rate Hard News Questionable due to extreme right wing bias, use of poor sources and blatantly loaded emotional language that always favors the right. (M. Huitsing 4/9/2018)
