Notes: Eagle Tribune is an online newspaper serving Andover, MA, and the surrounding areas. Its primary focus is on local news and events. They appear to have little to do with national issues, as there was only one article relating to national news on the site. The story, “Trump Pulls Back In His War With The Press”, covers the President’s recent address to Congress, and the lack of attacks on the press during his speech. It is fairly and accurately reported, containing remarks from both Republicans and Democrats regarding the lack of attacks. While the article has a very slight right bias, it is by a Washington DC reporter, Kery Murakari. a stringer for Community Newspaper Holdings, Inc. (CNHI). As such, it does not necessarily reflect the editorial stance of the Eagle Tribune itself. Nor does the tone of one article constitute a valid sampling for assigning a bias to a news source. With that in mind, I rated the Eagle Tribune Least Biased. (D. Kelley 3/5/2017)
