Counselor to the President Kellyanne Conway claimed on MSNBC Thursday night that Bowling Green, Ky., was the scene of a massacre carried out by Iraqis. Conway made the claim while arguing in favor of President Trump’s immigration and refugee ban. Conway went on to say that the media did not cover the story.
“I bet, there was very little coverage — I bet it’s brand new information to people that President Obama had a six-month ban on the Iraqi refugee program after two Iraqis came here to this country, were radicalized — and they were the masterminds behind the Bowling Green massacre. I mean, most people don’t know that because it didn’t get covered.”

The fact is that an Iraqi has never carried out a terrorist attack or massacre on American soil. There isn’t a record of a massacre in Bowling Green. In 2011 two Iraqi’s were arrested in Bowling Green for participating in terrorist activities in Iraq, which led to President Obama’s temporary refugee slow down.
In summary there was never a massacre in Bowling Green, therefore we rate this claim a blatant lie.
Note: Conway has retracted her statement saying she meant to say “Terrorists” rather than “Massacre.”
